The vision of Masterpiece Relief is to become a National and International travelling exhibition for the Visually Impaired and all art enthusiasts to enjoy the 3D creation of popular masterpieces.

Mission

Promote and create opportunites for the education, discover and celebration of art history through the sense of touch for individuals who live with a visual impairment.

Masterpiece Artworks

Artwork Selection

To select the most famous recognizable artwork available, excluding those with nudity  or  of religious nature.

Drawing

Thomas begins the procedure by producing a drawing scaled to make the touch and feel comfortable.

Sculpture

A detailed relief scupture is painstakingly created in clay. 

Rubber Mold & Plaster

Next a rubber mold is created, and a plaster piece is formed.  This validates the detail of the art piece, and any imperfections are caught and rectified in the sculpture process.

Bronze Artwork

Once the plaster piece is satisfactory,  the mold  is sent to the foundry for casting, 

Bronze Patina

Chemicals and heat are applied to areas of the sculpture to create colors and enhance the artwork.
